About

Os Rocks was formed in 2017 by Jan Ellis. Jan sang in a fabulous mixed voice choir in Huddersfield and since moving to Oswestry several years ago, she has tried several very good mixed choirs but none sang the kind of music she liked. Therefore after a lot of procrastination Os Rocks was born.

Since 2021 the choir has been ran and directored by Lisa Lombardi. Lisa has been a member of the soprano section of the choir since it’s formation and had ocassionally conducted Os Rocks . Over the years she has been a member of several choirs including Cantamus Girls Choir and has had years of vocal training.

Lisa is assisted by our pianist and co-director Jo Hey.

Os Rocks raises money for different local Charities. Our current charity is :

We are a mixed voice group of more than 30 members. Our repertoire includes songs by Queen, Greenday, Radiohead, Nirvana and other rock/pop songs.  We are aiming to sing songs you would not normally associate with a choir!

We meet on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.00 at Christ Church (across from the library), Oswestry.

We are a very friendly bunch of all ages and we have a lot of fun socially as well as at rehearsal.  All we ask is that potential members can sing in tune, you don’t need to be able to read music and there’s no audition.

Our monthly fees are £5 a month to cover costs.
